Public Safety in Beauty Care Centers Program
Working in the healthcare sector requires a lot of effort to maintain the common elements among doctors, nurses, technicians, administrators, workers, patients, and even visitors. The responsibility lies with hospital or healthcare facility management to ensure safety.
Most salon and beauty center visitors seek relaxation, pampering, and obtaining a beautiful and elegant appearance. However, sometimes they may leave with “serious illnesses” accompanying them!
Some salons, beauty centers, or even hospitals, despite their luxurious and attractive appearance, can be breeding grounds for germs and bacteria. Due to ignorance and neglect of seemingly trivial details, salon and beauty center visitors may be susceptible to serious infections due to a lack of control and unhealthy practices in some of these establishments. It is worth noting that infections can be life-threatening, ranging from fungal infections of the skin and nails to viral hepatitis B and C, and even human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Additionally, there are troublesome problems such as lice, scabies, warts, and herpes.

- Familiarizing with procedures and practices that can contribute to the transmission of infections in beauty centers.
- Identifying the necessary precautions to prevent the transmission of infections from client to client, from client to service provider, and from service provider to client in beauty centers.
- Learning the principles of first aid that should be followed in the event of an accident within a beauty center.
- Understanding the principles of risk management, including analyzing and identifying potential risks, implementing controls and necessary measures to reduce risks, and taking corrective actions in case of safety control gaps and preventing the transmission of infections.
